Review
 This is the latest of Flora McDonnell’s wonderful illustrated books for young children. We are introduced to four animals: a tiger, a rhinoceros, an elephant and her baby. They are big and hot and in need of a drink. The baby elephant makes his way down to the water, and squirts… they all splash and whoosh, and then they are cool. This is a really satisfying book: although the images are simple, they are far from being bland. Unlike so many books for small children which feed images which are insulting and stultifying in their bareness, the pictures here are works of art: enjoyable for adults too. - review by Johnny de Falbe
