Under the section marked 'Interests' on my university application form, I actually wrote, 'I have read the entire detective fiction of Agatha Christie.'  What's more, it was true.  And despite that, they still let me in.

I first read 'Five Little Pigs' when I was about thirteen; and then, because these books are my equivalent of comfort food, I read it again on holiday in Spain about ten years later.  I still admire the beauty of the plot, and I still find this an extremely satisfying book - Christie at her best. - review by Dan Fenton
