Little Bo Peep's Library BookEditionsReviewLittle Bo Peep goes to the library to borrow a book on finding sheep. There, in the Cookery section, she finds the Big Bad Wolf reading “Basic Little Girl Cookery” - which you can pull out of the shelf and read too (‘A masterpiece’ according to the Lupine Express, ‘Pathetically Hopeful’, says Little Girl Mail). Then in the Crime section she finds the Queen of Hearts, who is reading “Who Stole the Tarts?” by Mrs A Summers Day... This is an extremely clever book. It works very well for a very small child (say, 2) because you can skip the little books tucked into the so-called shelves if you want. But it also works for older children (say, 4) who will enjoy the little books. And since the little books are actually quite funny, they will be enjoyed by still older children. Although less well-known than The Jolly Postman |
