Review
The Rings of Saturn is an astonishing and beautiful flight around themes of dispossession that takes wing from a walk around Suffolk. The author goes from cod fishing to the silk industry, the mediaeval port of Dunwich, Conrad and Roger Casement in the Congo… a man building a model of the Temple of Jerusalem… He seems to flit, but it is a very tightly structured, melancholy masterpiece. - review by Johnny de Falbe
