The Bold And Brilliant GardenEditions
ReviewSarah Raven was a florist and this shows strongly in her attitude to gardening. A flick through the book quickly attests to its title. Colour leaps from the pages and one can sense both the author's enthusiasm and her advice to throw caution to the wind as she mixes reds and deep crimsons with acid green and orange or mixes lupin spires with blowzy oriental poppies. Hers is an emotional response to plants and to colour, though her text shows her to be a methodical practitioner. - review by Stewart Grimshaw |
