I started working at Sandoe’s by accident in 1986, soon after leaving university. I found I liked it, and I’m still here… For some mysterious reason, I get great pleasure from providing books to people that they will enjoy. If they are books that I like, so much the better.

I tend to read fiction, history and biography. Besides working in the shop, I also write fiction and review regularly. My novels are The Glass Night (1995) and The Bequest (2003).
