Ulric Van den BogaerdeStaff ProfileLike Johnny, my overriding interest has always been in writing and books. I've sought various means to survive while writing, including a long stint in the film industry as a PA in a commercial production company, and then later as camera technician in film - reaching a terrifying high point as clapper loader [this will come in very handy at JS - Ed.] on Michael Winner's "Parting Shots", fondly described as the worst British film ever made. In 1999 I was taken on as a script editor and later as a writer for Channel 5. Purged in 2001, I went freelance again and into the wonders of bookselling. To my amazement I discovered that there was a vacancy at Blacklands Terrace and have been trying to make myself suitable ever since. The rest of the time I scribble. Recent Reviews
