Our Staff

Since John Sandoe opened the shop 44 years ago there has been remarkably little change among the staff.  Felicité Gwynne, a sister of Elizabeth David, worked here for 20 years, as did Perina Fordham, who retired in 1995. 

We all love books and read voraciously.  We work here because we enjoy it, and we enjoy providing our customers with books.  Each of us has different enthusiasms, which are reflected in the stock and in our catalogues.
